ABSTRACT

Flies are known to play a role in the transmission of diseases as vectors that can transmit pathogens
such as bacteria, parasites, viruses, and fungi. More than 500 microorganisms that stick to the
bodies of flies can cause diseases such as cholera, diarrhea, dizziness, and aspergillosis. The
objective of this study was to measure the density of the fly and to determine the number and type of
flies on the surface of the flies' body at four locations, namely wet chicken fur, piles of bags, bottle
waste, and shoe waste. Fungi are commonly found on the surface of plies such as Aspergillus spp.,

Rhizopus spp. and Mucor spp. The type of research used in this study is descriptive, with cross-
sectional sampling. The research was carried out by isolating samples of flies grown on Sabouraud

Dextrose Agar (SDA) media that were incubated for 5-7 days and identified macroscopically and
microscopically with the LPCB reagent. The highest density at the bottle location was 69.3 with a
total of 104 flies, dominated by Chrysomya megacephala. Identification results of growth
mushrooms can be seen in Figure 5.2 (a, b, c, d, e, f, g, h) of samples of domestic Musca flies found
in the species Aspergillus spp. and Rhizopus spp, and 5.3 (a, b, c, d, e, f, g, h) of the specimen
Chrysomya megacephala. The depnsity of flies is very high, and two species of calf fungi are found,
Aspergillus spp. and Rhizopus spp.
