UJI SENSITIVITAS DAN SPESIFISITAS METODE MINIATURIZED MOST PROBABLE NUMBER (mMPN) TERHADAP METODE MPN SEBAGAI METODE PEMERIKSAAN MIKROBA AIR MINUM



ABSTRACT

Introduction: Water is vital to human health, especially in dealing with food-borne diseases such
as diarrhea. Coliform bacteria can be identified using the Miniaturized Most Probable Number
(mMPN), but this method is costly and time-consuming. The objective is to know the sensitivity
and specificity of the MPN and mMPN methods. The methods of this type of research are
quantitative and the design of this research is pre-experimental. Mineral water, and treated
water are sold freely on the street. Analysis used using Kohan's Cappa test Results: Results of
each sample in the districts of acidification obtained: tea water 100% (11/11), recycled water
obtains a presentation of 10% (1/9) while drinking water obtains 0%. Sensitivity values are still
poor, while the specificity value is already very good, with a sensitivity value of 69.2% and a
specificity rate of 93.3%.
