ABSTRACT

Pulmonary tuberculosis is an infectious disease caused by the bacteria Mycobacterium tuberculosis
(M.tb). Blood sedimentation rate examination is a hematological examination carried out as a sign of
inflammation in the body. Inflammation in the body can occur due to infection, one of which is M.tb
infection. LED inspection can be done using the wintrobe and micro ESR methods. This study aims to
determine the comparison of LED values with the two wintrobe and micro ESR methods in pulmonary
tuberculosis sufferers at the Rawa Lumbu Community Health Center. This research is comparative in
nature with a cross sectional research design and data collection using purposive sampling which was
carried out in March-June 2024 at the Rawa Lumbu Community Health Center. This research carried
out two different LED inspection methods with the wintrobe method with a result of 1 mm/hour and the
highest value of 55 mm/hour. Meanwhile, the ESR examination value in pulmonary tuberculosis
sufferers using the micro Erythocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) method was 1 mm/hour and the highest
value was 23 mm/hour and the Wilxocon nonparametric statistical test was carried out. There is a
difference in the results of the LED inspection values for the Wintrobe method and the micro ESR method
with statistical results is z -3.174.
