ABSTRACT

Background: Patients in hospitals often need infusion therapy based on their specific medical
requirements. Nurses must have a good understanding of infusion procedures to ensure the correct
administration of intravenous fluids and electrolytes. Lack of knowledge about infusion principles
and procedures can lead to errors and complications. The research aimed to investigate the
relationship between nurses' knowledge, career level, and the success of infusion installation.
Method: The research was designed using a cross-sectional method and involved 114 respondents
selected using purposive sampling. The research instruments included a nurse knowledge
questionnaire and an observation sheet for recording successful infusion installations. Statistical
analysis was performed using the Chi-Square test. The results of the research revealed that the
majority of respondents had good knowledge (87 out of 114 respondents, 76.3%), and the same
number of respondents were at career level PK III. Additionally, 80 respondents (70.2%)
