ABSTRACT

Background: Anemia in pregnancy can have an adverse impact on the mother,
both during pregnancy, childbirth and during the postpartum and subsequent
periods. In pregnant women, a lack of blood supplement tablets can cause
miscarriage, babies born prematurely, low birth weight (LBW) babies, bleeding
before and during delivery, and even maternal and infant death are risks faced by
pregnant women who experience anemia. heavy.
Objective: This study aims to analyze the relationship between the level of
knowledge about anemia and compliance with consuming blood supplement tablets
in pregnant women.
Method: This research is a quantitative research using a cross sectional approach
and chi square test. The research sample was 81 respondents, this research was
conducted at the North Bekasi Health Center in July-August 2023.
Results: The statistical test results obtained p value = 0,119 meaning p > α 0.05,
meaning there is no significant relationship between the level of knowledge of
pregnant women about anemia and compliance with consuming blood supplement
tablets among pregnant women at the North Bekasi Community Health Center.
Conclusion: From the results of this study, it was concluded that there was no
significant relationship between the level of knowledge about anemia and
compliance with consuming blood supplement tablets in pregnant women.
