ABSTRACT

Introduction: The effect of booklet media on acetic acid visual inspection (VIA) tests on cervical cancer
prevention behavior in women of childbearing age is very important because it can affect the way
women of childbearing age think about cervical cancer to be more vigilant, and is expected to increase
the knowledge of women of childbearing age (WUS) about VIA examination. Research Objectives: to
determine whether there is an effect of booklet media on acetic acid visual inspection (VIA) tests on
cervical cancer prevention behavior in women of childbearing age at Mitra Keluarga Bekasi Hospital.
Research Methods: This study uses a quantitative method with an intervention study approach with a
quasy experimental method and the planning used is one group Pre-test and Post-test without control.
Data collection was obtained by filling out questionnaires about behavioral aspects of women of
childbearing age in preventing cervical cancer. SPSS data processing with Wilcoxon test. Results: the
results of the Wilcoxon test obtained p-values 0.001 < α 0.05, which means that there is an effect of
increasing the behavior of female respondents of childbearing age at Mitra Keluarga Bekasi Hospital,
or Ha is accepted. Conclusion: There is an effect of increasing the behavior of female respondents of
childbearing age at Mitra Keluarga Bekasi Hospital.
