HUBUNGAN ANTARA MOTIVASI BELAJAR DENGAN PROKRASTINASI AKADEMIK SISWA SMA WIDYA NUSANTARA
ABSTRACT
Introduction: This study explores the relationship between learning motivation and academic
procrastination among high school students. Given the important role of motivation in educational
success, this study aims to understand how different levels of motivation influence students' tendency
to postpone academic tasks.
Methods: The design of this study is a quantitative research with a cross sectional approach conducted
at Widya Nusantara High School. The sample used was 133 respondents through calculation with the
slovin formula using probability sampling techniques. The research was conducted in October 2023 –
July 2024 and an ethical test has been carried out for KEPK/UMP/102/V/2024. The inclusion criteria
used are students in grade XI of Widya Nusantara High School. Meanwhile, the exclusion criteria in
this study are that class X has not yet been divided into majors XII, and is busy with tryouts, school
exams. The data analysis technique uses the chi square test..
Results: with the Chi-square test by looking at the value of linear by linear association shows the p-
value in the Chi-square linear by linear test is 0.037. Because the p-value of 0.037
