PENGARUH MEDIA EDUKASI MODUL MANAJEMEN LAKTASI TERHADAP BREASTFEEDING SELF-EFFICACY PADA IBU NIFAS DI RS SWASTA X

ABSTRACT

Breast milk is the most important baby food, especially in the first months of life, and
an ideal source of nutrition with a balanced composition and in accordance with the
baby's growing needs. Breastfeeding can increase the baby's immunity so that it can
reduce the infant mortality rate. The aim was to determine the effect of educational
media on the lactation management module on Breastfeeding Self-Efficacy among

postpartum mothers at Private Hospital X. The research design used a pre-
experimental approach with a one group pretest-post test design. The sample was

determined based on the 2 difference hypothesis formula for paired group means of 31
respondents using a purposive sampling technique. The instrument used was the
Breastfeeding Self-Efficacy Short Form (BSE-SF) questionnaire. The analysis used is
univariate analysis and paired t-test analysis. The research results showed that the
majority of respondents before being given the Breasfeeding Self-Efficacy intervention
were low, as many as 22 (71%) respondents and after the intervention were high as
many as 24 (77.4%) respondents. It is hoped that nurses will improve the quality of
service by providing regular education about lactation management so that no child
does not receive exclusive breast milk.
