Microbiology Indonesia (Microbiol Indones), originally known as Jurnal Mikrobiologi Indonesia, is the official open access journal published by the Indonesian Society for Microbiology (Perhimpunan Mikrobiologi Indonesia, PERMI). Microbiology Indonesia provides a unique venue for publishing original researches in microbiology, and ensures that authors could reach the widest possible audience. Microbiol Indones publishes a wide range of research disciplines on bacteria, archaea, fungi, protozoa, and virus as well as biotechnology related to microbiology. Topics include (but are not limited to) methods in microbiology, bioprocess, environmental microbiology, food microbiology, plant-microbe interaction, animal-microbe interactions, microbial community, microbial genetics, virology, comparative and functional microbial genomics, and gene expression in microbes. Microbiol Indones is also supported by a number of internationally recognized editors and reviewers to ensure high quality of publication.

Microbiol Indones is accredited at "1st Rank" until October 2023 by Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education, Indonesia No: 030/E/KPT/2018.
